Verb( क्रिया ) , Adjective ( विशेषण )या किसी
अन्य Adverb (क्रिया विशेषण )की विशेषता बतानेवाला शब्द Adverb कहलाता है ।
An Adverb (क्रिया विशेषण ) is a word that modifies the meaning of a Verb , an Adjective or another Adverb.
इन वाक्यों को देखो-
Reeta Sang sweetly.
The pen is very
good.
He ran too quickly.
इन वाक्यों में
sweetly , very तथा too Adverbs हैं । प्रथम वाक्य में sweetly Sang ( verb ) की विशेषता बताता है ; दूसरे वाक्य में very good (
adjective ) की विशेषता बताता है , तीसरे वाक्य में too quickly ( adverb ) की
विशेषता बताता है ।

Adverb of Time ( कालवाचक क्रियाविशेषण )
Adverb of Time से ‘ क्रिया कब हुई , होती है या होगी ' का बोध होता है ।
An Adverb
of Time shows the time of an action and answers the questions, 'when?'
इन वाक्यों
को देखो-
We are happy today.
She saw me yesterday.
He will come tomorrow.
They will do it now.
इन वाक्यों में आए शब्द today, tomorrow,
yesterday, now से क्रिया के समय का बोध होता है । इसलिए ये Adverbs of Time कहलाते
हैं ।
Advert of Place ( स्थानवाचक क्रियाविशेषण )
Adverb
of Place से पता चलता है कि कार्य कहां हुआ , हो रहा है या होगा ।
An Adverb of Place indicates the place or direction
of an action and answer the question, 'Where ?'
इन वाक्यों को देखो-
Come here.
We
are going down.
Don't go there.
He is going outside.
इन वाक्यों में आए शब्द here , there , down
, outside Adverbs of Place है ।

Adverbs of Manner ( रितिवाचक क्रियाविशेषण )
Adverbs of Manner से पता चलता है कि क्रिया किस ढंग से या कैसे हुई ।
An Adverb
of Manner indicates the manner of an action and answers the question, 'How ? '
इन वाक्यों को देखो-
He walked slowly .
She
Sang sweetly.
They speak loudly.
I Write clearly.
इन वाक्यों
में आए शब्द slowly, loudly , sweetly, clearly बताते है कि कार्य कैसे हुआ या किस
ढंग से हुआ । इन्हें Adverbs of Manner ( रितिवाचक क्रियाविशेषण ) कहते हैं ।
Adverb of Degree ( परिमाणबोधक क्रियाविशेषण )
Adverb of Degree से Adjective या Adverb की तीव्रता का बोध होता है तथा ऐसे Adverb से 'कितना/ किस हद तक' जैसे प्रश्नों के उत्तर मिलते है ।
An Adverb of Degree indicates the degree of
intensity of an Adjective or Adverb it answers the question, 'How much' or 'to
what degree? '
इन वाक्यों को देखो-
Tom is very tall.
She is almost ready.
I am quite happy.
That is all right.
ऊपर के वाक्यों में very, quite, almost, all
से विशेषण के गुण की degree का बोध होता है- कितना लंबा , कितना सुखी , किस हद तक तैयार
, किस हद तक या कितना तैयार । ऐसे Adverbs को Adverbs of Degree कहा जाता है ।
To
Modern English Grammar में very, quite ,
wholly , almost, exactly, partly इत्यादि को Intensifiers कहा जाता है ।
Adverb of Affirmation And Negation ( स्वीकारात्मक एवं नकारात्मक क्रियाविशेषण )
Yes को Adverb or Affirmation तथा No , Not , Never को Adverb of Negation कहते हैं ।
An Adverb
of Affirmation or Negation indicates an assertion or denial .
इन वाक्यों को देखो-
Are you well ?
Yes, I am.
Is he well?
No, he is not.
Will she come?
No, she will never.
Is she there ?
No, she is not there .
इन वाक्यों में आए शब्द yes से ' स्वीकृति ' तथा
No, Not,
Never से ' अस्वीकृति ' का बोध होता है । इन्हें Adverbs of Affirmation and
Negation कहते हैं।
Adverb of Frequency ( बारंबारतासूचक क्रियाविशेषण )
Adverb of Frequency से बोध होता है कि कोई कार्य कितनी बार ' होगा , हुआ या होता है ।
An Adverb of Frequency shows the relative frequency
of an action and answers the question, 'How often?'
इन वाक्यों को देखो :
He is always happy.
She is never late.
I go there daily.
They come once a month.
इन वाक्यों में आए शब्द always, never, daily,
once से बोध होता है कि कार्य ' कितनी बार ' हुआ । इन्हें Adverbs of Frequency कहते
हैं ।
Interrogative Adverb ( प्रश्नवाचक क्रियाविशेषण )
Interrogative Adverb से प्रश्न पूछने में सहायता मिलती है ।
An Interrogative Adverb is used for asking questions.
इन वाक्यों को देखो-
How do you do it ?
Why does he cry ?
When did he come ?
Where do you live ?
How,
Why , Where, When से प्रश्न पूछे जाते हैं , इन्हें Interrogative Adverbs कहते
हैं ।
