Mrs Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister of India. She was a great leader. Mrs Gandhi was born on November 19, 1917 at Allahabad. She was the daughter of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. She had her education ( शिक्षा ) in Switzerland and also at Oxford and Vishwabharati. Mrs Gandhi was married to Firoz Gandhi in 1942. She had two sons— Rajiv and Sanjay. Mrs Gandhi worked hard to make India a happy country. But she was killed on 31st October 1984. She was a lover of peace ( शांति ) and freedom ( आजादी ). Today Indira Gandhi is no more but her soul ( आत्मा ) lives.
