An elephant is a large animal. It has a big body. It has four thick ( मोटा ) and strong legs. It has two big ears but small eyes. It has a long tail. The elephant has a long trunk ( सुँढ़ ). It lives in the forests. It eats bananas and leaves of trees. It likes to eat sweets. The elephant works hard. It carries heavy logs of wood. A mahawat sits on its neck. The elephant dances in the circus. It can sit on a stool and ride a tri-cycle ( तीन पहियेवाली साइकिल ). In the past, elephants were used in war also.
